I have two ideas
#1. Buy this beautifull long blond wig from cossplaywigs (an E-bay store)

- Its the perfect color and i know this that their wigs are high quality.
-I would have to trim the sides a little bit but the length makes it a very versitile wig and possibly one that I could take out of the pony tail and use for other cosplays.
#2. Buy a short wig ( that will be lighter and easyer to pull back) and a ponytail clip ( like the ones from cosworks).

- I havent worked with wigs before but people say that styling a wig into a high pony tail is harder than it might seem.
-So this option might look better
What do you think would be the best idea for a novice cosplayer like me?
-keep in mind price also >_o im a starving art student

in all honesty, the best way to go would be to create your own wig.
most commercial cosplay wigs are constructed to be worn just as they arrive. Most of them look horrible if you attempt to pull the up in a ponytail.
I have created many wigs by purchasing synthetic hair (generally sold for weaves) and hand stitching it in rows to a skinhead wig. It takes a very long time but will be alot more versatile.
good luck
